After being shutdown for one year and two months, due to Covid-19, I am proud to announce YDM FIRST REHEARSAL.  I am truly grateful to God that ALL of our members are safe and ready to get back to praising Him, through song.  I am happy the majority of YDM are Fully Vaccinated. However, we will be following all CDC Guidelines to make sure that everyone in attendance is safe.

YDM, thank you for your patience and your prayers. I am sooo grateful to you all, for how you took GOOD care of me, during the pandemic.  I thank you and I thank God for you.  I’ll S👀 you guys on Friday, May 28th at The Houston Community Temple, 8711 Talton Street at 8 PM, SHARP!

YDM came into my life when I needed it most. Before joining the ministry I was a secret fan. I loved how much energy and excitement they had when singing. But more than anything, I love the conviction we have behind the words we sing. Since joining, I have found an extended family with people who love God first and love one another. This ministry allowed me to improve my love of singing and music, increase my knowledge of who God is, and truly format relationship to match the lyrics of the songs we sing. I will forever love me some YDM!!!

I'm blessed to be part of such an awesome anointed ministry. What I love about this ministry is not only do we minister through song but we also minister through deed. We serve our community with food, clothing, school supplies, etc. We are not just a ministry but we're also family who looks out for each other.

Just thought I'd share this. I was thanking a friend for doing me a favor. When I offered lunch as a thank you gesture, this is the reply I got: I just want you to know that as great of a person as you are, always doing for others... you never have to do anything for me....I just appreciate who you are.... Although its never done for praise, I must admit, I was truly touched. And to that I say, "To God Be The Glory"!

Sunday, July 27, 2014, I married a wonderful man, my childhood friend (of over 30 years), my church buddy, movie partner, dance dad... Durron Robinson!! Ms. Jackie, I am so grateful for you and YDM to bless us and our guests with the YDM MEDLEY!! The presence of the Lord Was in the sanctuary!! We had chuuuch!! It was exactly what I dreamed of... being married in the presence of the Lord, Jackie Smith and YDM singing, and seeing everyone enjoying themselves!! My pastor, Reverend Kenneth Isaac of Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, said he had never been to a wedding and had church at the same time!! May God continue to bless and give you exactly what you need to continue his works And bless others! I will forever be grateful for you and YDM sharing this is special day with my husband and me.

Day 3: Sitting @ home, hungry, a good friend did a good deed by stopping by & bringing me lunch, I returned the deed and paid for both. There is something to the theory, if you do good, good will come back to you.

Good Deed or Random Act of Kindness: Yesterday while at a Restaurant paying for my food, I paid for the person in line behind me as well. They were extremely shocked and Thankful, and it felt good to know that I showed kindness toward a stranger just as Jesus did/does. There really is a Blessing in Giving to others!

Vikki Wilson said on Apr 10, 2013 6:59 PM

My act of kindness for 4/10/13 was: When i pulled in the parking lot of HISD i got out of my car and was headng to the entrance doors, me and another driver cane to these doors at the same time and this particular bus driver always looks mean, and seems to me as if she has a problem with me, so i opened the door and let her walk in 1st and she didnt even say Thank-You but i wanted to be really mean, so i sucked it in and ask God to 4give the lady (she's alot older than me, so....) my respect goes along way!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ms. J said on Apr 10, 2013 4:30 AM

Day 2: Today I helped a loved one difuse a situation that would have gotten ugly any out of control. Kris, Koya, Sidnee & Ms. Amandia, I see you, continue to do good, not bcuz God will do good for you( AND HE WILL), but the Jesus in you, may be the only Jesus they see. Let's keep up the good work(2 days & counting)!

I go to the vending machines at my school alot because I don't eat school lunch but every time I .there is always a kid asking people for their change, most times people say no to him so today I gave him a $10 bill because I knew he didn't have any money, he looked at me like are you really giving this to me, lol not everyone has a good home to come to and not every one knows how their going to get there next meal you never know how doing something good will pay off one day.

Amandia Wright said on Apr 9, 2013 11:38 PM

YDM is on a 21 day Campaign to "Do 1 good deed a day". Today, I asked a waitress for a cup of ice, when she brought it , she asked if I like to eat ice. I told her not anymore & I shared with her when I did eat a lot of ice, I was anemic. She asked what should she do, I told her first, make an appointment to see your doctor and second, go to Walmart(my fav store) and get some Ferrous Sulfate(iron tablets). The waitress thanked me over n over. She was very appreciative of the info I gave her. KINDNESS, pass it on!

When i met my coworker which is YDM's M.O.M.(Minister of Music) he always had some engagement to perform at, I questioned what had is interest like that, and he said "Jackie Smith & YDM". This went on for awhile and during 1 of our lil mid afternoon lunch runs he said if you are serious and don't mind praising God through song and praying come audition. I was nervous and prayed that Ms. Jackie would let me join. I got accepted January 18, 2013 and from that point on I made a vow to myself that I will be a very good choir member and i will do as aked , but most of all sing my heart out! Since joining YDM, I can truly say that I have joined the best choir Texas has to offer. Mrs. Jackie is very serious about the ministry but heart is of gold, i've met some very fun spirited people and I am 1000% glad that i am apart of a wonderful organization. I pray that we will continue to sang and always give God the glory & praise and to just let people know....our rehearsals are not like no other! We (YDM & Mrs Jackie) are truly soldiers for Christ. Im so glad to be a member. I really wanted this opportunity and I pray God will continue to give me the strength to keep going to rehearsal, singing engagements and singing for HIM. Thank You Jesus for blessing Mrs Jackie with a vision.......and she included me into it...Thank You for this much needed part of my life. "Im determined to go hard & strong as long as My God keep on blessing me to be a real good alto" (lol)

Hello Ms Jackie, It's wonderful to see that you are yet singing for the Lord. You don't personally know me but, I remember you when you first started out as Jacikie Smith and Divinity. I used to work with Ms. Marsan Taylor who at that time sang w/ your group. I purchased your group's 1st CD which was GREAT!. You were awesome then and you're still awesome now. May God continue to Bless you and be in whatever you do.

YDM, yall must know that I love you dearly. Ive only missed one (1) of your anniversaries since your existence and that one was not by choice. As once spoken, I will always support you and be a part of you. YDM is a wonderful group of young anointed singers and are doing a fine job in their gospel music ministry, cause I know Ms Jackie wouldnt have it no other way. So keep on singing, trusting in God and behaving yourselves cause if you dont, I know Jackie well, she will be on yall case like -"White on Rice". Much Love and see You Soon!!

I have been apart of some Great singing ministries, but YDM is the GREATEST! Not only can these group of Young People sang you under the pew, we are a Group of anointed People who can pray for you, fast for you and laid hands on you in a minute. I really saw my YDM Family differently when I was going thru my illness, they prayed me thru it and walked with me all the way, encouraged me when I discouraged and built me up when I was tore down !!!! Ms. Jackie I KNOW YOU MAY NOT BELIEVE ME OR SEE IT BUT I LOVE YOU AND APPRECIATE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE AND ALLLLLLLLL THAT YOU DO. YDM lets keep going from MUSIC 2 MINISTRY LOVE YALL AND IT AINT NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.

Well, Well, Well.....! Where Do I begin....! YDM came about in my life at the age of 16 and I am now 24yrs old! I've seen and witnessed a lot from the birth of this ministry! This Ministry not only developed my gift of singing but gave me a LOVING, SPIRITUAL FAMILY I can truly call my own! The FAMILY I didnt just see at rehearsals or engagements; but the FAMILY I could call on anytime of the night...trips where we all camped out in ONE hotel room of thirty people just laughing at each other all night....Supporting each others' individual Church functions.....EVERYTHING....The Key elements in the art of Working TOGETHER are how we deal with CHANGES, how to deal with CONFLICT, and how to reach our POTENTIAL and YDM has stood the test and had our share of Ups and Downs! But Thank GOD we made it...! And To Ms. Jackie, who is MY SPIRITUAL Mother, I love you for all you done not just with the ministry; But for ME!!! You say all the time at engagements that we are your CHILREN (without the D) and you really don't know how much we LOVE you!!!! YDM, as Pastor Pam has Stated, is a Peculiar Group that no man ;not even SATAN can Destroy...! Say what you wanna say but don't mess with no one in this MINISTRY because United we stand; Divided we Fall....! Coming together is a BEGINNING, keeping together is PROGRESS, and working together is SUCCESS!!!! Favor Aint Fair.... P.S. Ms. Jackie can I have $2 off my dues for this looooong message....lol Love Yall!
